We’re big fans of anything that makes our lives easier, especially when that involves food! So when DoorDash reached and asked us to try their new food delivery service we agreed sooner than you can download a menu from a website! And this time, rather than hoarding our treats in our usual, two-person cave, we decided to share the wealth with our book club. We’re friendly like that.
We’re usually the slackers of book club. All the other members spend a week or two pinning for inspiration, and then they casually “whip up” some dessert that looks like it came from the pages of Martha Stewart living. And many of these women have kids! And here we are, slogging through Whole Foods whining about our busy lives and bellying up to the book club buffet. An over-the top treat was LONG overdue for our bookish buddies.
And the ordering process couldn’t have been easier! You start by entering the delivery address to see which restaurants are included in your area. We had about a million restaurant choices, but quickly decided that Pies & Pints was the most logical selection, given pizza’s natural sharing capabilities. The Preorder function was our jam: we made all our selections the morning of and set up the delivery for the evening. Easy peasy!
If you’re on-the-go, there’s a mobile app with the same functionality as the website. What was especially handy was the constant updates via texts! We knew exactly when the food was coming, and got to drum up the hype with our lot of hungry girls.
When our new friend, Nikki, delivered our pies, we got a lot of yells from the other girls! “I didn’t know Pies & Pints delivered!” they said. THEY DON’T, we yelled! They happily joined us in our fandom of DoorDash’s services!
I mean, a thousand pizzas and rose; don’t you want to join our club? We agree that DoorDash is a hit, and we’ll certainly be using it again when we’re just too tired exit burrito mode and go grab dinner.
Disclosure: We were compensated for the meal by DoorDash, but all opinions are our own!
